Religious studies student aspiring to become a teacher
As an RE student in the first year of university (soon) I have a deep passion for the subject. I am able to connect to the student I am tutoring and offer them advice that another tutor may not be able to do. I hope to become an RE student in the future so this experience will help me learn as much as the student themselves so I will value our lessons greatly.
I have tutored for both GCSE and A Level students on a regular basis for the last few years. This was unpaid but has given me enough experience to be a trusted tutor.
My lessons are packed full of information, techniques and exam advice whilst not being too overwhelming for the student. I like my students to be able to take away new information, retain information and understand key exam techniques from my lessons. I also want them to come to me with any questions and requests for the lessons. Another key strategy I like to take is revision note making so that my student has a visual reminder of the lesson and can directly use it to help them in independent study.
I have the most experience with aqa and edexcel
